Another thing I have been doing is making up another “incoming bebe” pack for a friend. I went a little overboard as I’m trying to use up scraps/offcuts and any random fabric that doesn’t have a specified purpose. Pack included 2 blankets (full minky, minky/cotton), 2 swaddles, 5 bibs

Sydney made mask wearing mandatory in some public places last week. So this is what I have been doing since that time; making masks for our household, my family, and some friends. In total I have made 36 masks. I’m done now!

Completed puffy paws modeled by my partner. For my first pair of ‘proper’ paws I’m very pleased how they turned out, despite having some minor flaws. I learnt so much and now I’m going to make my own pattern for 5-finger paws and experiment with installing finger escapes.

Puffy paw construction Pt 4 Sewed up the lining with a straight stitch and a stretch zig zag along the outside to prevent fraying. Puffy paw construction Pt 3 The pattern I was using said to applique the pads but I hate applique. So I made each individual pad, stuffed, then cut out the space it was to sit, and sewed it in place. After attaching the wrist piece it was time to sew both sides together.
