  • Day 1 of the WoW christmas fibre advent. Today’s fibre is a flax mohair blend.

  • Paw assembly is under way. If you look closely you can see the slits for the finger escapes.

  • Complete cornflower blackwork. This represents approximately 50ish hours of work.

  • Stitching up a quick little project – a tiny chickadee gardener bird!

  • A friend had been wanting a set of my paws for a while but didn’t want to ask because they knew how much work/$$ goes into them. So I decided that would be their Christmas present this year & got them to pick out fabrics from my stash. They’re gonna look sooo cute!

  • I patterned & made up a little cover to protect my new wool hand carders. It came out so well that I’m considering making a few to sell.

  • Massive disappoint and frustration. When I was finishing this handspun I noticed that the purple colour was bleeding A LOT in the cold water washes. Bleeding yarn is bad as any wool you knit with it will get bled into the next time you wash it. So I attempted to fix the issue. Hot vinegar…

  • I did something crazy & bought an advent calendar this year … a wool/fibre advent calendar! I’m going to try do a post every day of December this year as I open up each packet of this World Of Wool advent calendar box. This is gonna be fun!

  • Wow, what a difference a trim makes! Left before trimming. Right after trimming.

  • I managed to ply, wash, & thwack 10 skeins of yarn over just a few days! 🫣 I am thankful for our Australian summer heat which dried these skeins right out overnight.
