Finally using my new Lykke ball winder and swift arrived and they are gorgeous! The smell of rosewood wafting everywhere whilst winding yarn cakes is truly delightful.
I wound up my first ever yarn (green, I’m calling it ‘Curly Qs’) and my variegated red/blue yarn. For some reason one of the variegated skeins snapped when winding, I think it got caught on of the swifts ties instead of running off smoothly, so I’ll have to rejoin it before plying the variegated cakes together.
